Sitka, Alaska 2010

Where we Stayed: Sitka Alaska
# of people in our party: 10
Accomodations: Kingfisher Lodge
Target Species : Halibut, salmon, Lingcod

This year the big butts did not want to come out and play, but we did have a 110 lber caught by Carlton Jones on day one. On day two, some smaller chickens were caught, and Day three... Captain paul's boat was the Highliner with three halibut up to 60lbs...Kudos to captain Brian... (who I fished with on day one and day two!!!) Weather was tough on Day Three, as it was raining, and the swells were up, and the winds were estimated at 25 knots!!!

This yellow eye Rock Cod weighed around 18lbs!!!
The accomodations at the lodge were first rate!!!
This Monster Lingcod, had to be thrown back, too big for the slot limits, and at 53 in. too small to be kept as a trophy ling...

This was the 38 lb King salmon that was caught by me on day 1..... They can't all be monsters....
Mount Edgecumbe (the Volcano)

The Gang arriving in Sitka Day 1, the weather was gorgeous, it had rained over night so we were greeted by this rainbow! We also caught lots of Black Bass, silver salmon, and plenty of misc. rockfish. We each came home with 1.5 boxes of prepackaged and vacuum sealed filets. I was sad to leave... and hopefully I will be back next summer!
